Cookie and Device-Storage Notice

COOKIE AND DEVICE-STORAGE NOTICE — EFFECTIVE 16 AUGUST 2026
This Notice explains the cookies, browser storage, in-memory identifiers and offline caches used by the PokeCardr public beta. PokeCardr does not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioural tracking.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small values a website can ask a browser to retain. Browser local storage performs a similar function without sending the value automatically with every request. A service worker may cache website files so an installed web app loads reliably. PokeCardr also creates a temporary identifier in page memory to understand actions within one visit.
2. Storage currently used
- Customer authentication: Supabase stores security-sensitive session and refresh information in browser storage so you can remain signed in and renew a session securely. It remains until you sign out, clear site data or the session can no longer be refreshed.
- Currency preference: “pokecardr-currency” stores GBP, EUR, USD or JPY on the device until you change it or clear site data. When signed in, the preference is also saved to your account.
- Offline and installation cache: the PokeCardr service worker may cache application files needed for Home Screen installation and faster loading. It does not use the cache to follow you across other websites.
- First-party visit measurement: a random page-session identifier is held in memory for the current page visit. It is not an advertising identifier, is not read by other websites and is not retained as a tracking cookie on your device.
- Hosting and security: the hosting or authentication infrastructure may use strictly necessary cookies or comparable security mechanisms to deliver requests, prevent abuse and complete account or email-confirmation flows.
3. Why consent is not currently requested
The present technologies are used for account security, a requested currency choice, service operation or short-lived first-party measurement without advertising profiles. PokeCardr therefore does not currently show a marketing-cookie banner.
If optional advertising, cross-site tracking or another non-essential technology is proposed, it will not be enabled for users who require consent until an appropriate choice and preference control is available.
4. Your controls
You can sign out to end the active account session, clear PokeCardr site data through browser settings and remove an installed web app or its cached data through device settings. Clearing storage may sign you out, reset your currency and remove offline files, but it does not delete the online collection associated with your account.
To delete the online account or exercise a privacy right, use the account controls when available or email privacy@pokecardr.com.
5. Updates and contact
This Notice will be updated when authentication, analytics, advertising, scanner storage or mobile-app technologies change. Questions can be sent to privacy@pokecardr.com.
